I'm Seein' Spots

Image
Last Septemeber, my husband, my mother in law and myself went to Solvang, Ca. It's a beautiful little danish town and there are lots of intersting things to do there. My favorite was going to the Seein' Spots Farm where we got to hang out with miniature donkeys and pick some delicious organic apples right off the tree. They had tons of cute stuff like that donkey mailbox, I'm gonna do a companion page later ;)   I'm entering this in The Paper Variety's Challenge which is Sew Much Fun this week.   The stitching around the pictures was done with a stamp and with a white pen on the corners. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Image
Hello Everyone, Quick post to wish you all a happy valentine's day! I made this for my better half :) He says there should be more pictures of us around the house ( Everybody: Awww!). This is us in Bordeaux by the Grand Theatre having some fun with our camera. I used the colorful life stack by DCWV. I love how all the collage work in the background is already done. All I had to add are the letters, the picture, the fabric and the pins. Sometimes I look through the fabric remnants at Joann's and once in  a while I find something that I can use in scrapbooking, cards or altered projects. I got both of these fabrics there. I used a pink lace and a white mesh which I sprayed with smooch spritz in red and gold. I punched hearts on the picture corners and in the lower right for the 'o' in Love. The little hearts that got punched out of the corners are glued as the body of the butterflies. The letters are painted chipboard. How easy is that?! Hope you all had a l

Hello! I hope you are all doing well, and if you're not, I hope you will be soon :) This wednesday, I'll show you a layout I made with some of my American Crafts Botanique kit. It's a discontinued line but you might be able to find a kit in a discount store near you (in the U.S). The kit I bought was missing about 20 chipboard pieces, I sent their customer service an email and they were so nice and helpful. They sent me replacements, wasn't that wonderful! Not every company stands by their products anymore so I thought I would share my experience ;) Anyway, here's the layout. I tried to make some yarn flowers inspired by Jillibean soup's bean blossoms . I got the idea from Suzy's blog . I haven't glued anything down yet. I don't know if the yarn flower in the middle of the 2 pictures looks ok. Should I take it off or put something else there instead? any thoughts? Thanks for visiting! I'm off to see what's on your desk...
