A Masculine 'Thankful For You' Card

Image
If you have EVER visited my blog you know there are very few masculine projects here. I love anything girly and anything masculine is always very difficult for me. As a result, the hubby ends up getting very girly looking cards :p  I made this one for him for Thanksgiving. Shhh...no one tell him ;)  I think this is as masculine as I get! haha! This is DCWV's Wild Splendor stack at Michael's right now.  This is one of the most beautiful autumn stacks I've seen this year. My favorite for sure!  Love the gold foil details.  Thanks for visiting :)

Cannons, cannons and more cannons!

This is a work in progress. My creative juices have been running low the past couple days but I managed to start on this page. I still need journaling and few more embellies and details. But it's sitting on my desk waiting for me to get to it. I figured it would be fun to post this and then the finished version later.  The stamps are Stamper's Best (camera and frames) and Crafter's Companion (compass and quote)  The papers are the new For the Record collection by Echo Park.   Here's the finished page:  I think the writing adds a lot without adding anymore embellishment.  It was fun to compare the two. Journaling definitely makes a big difference! I'm entering this in the crafter's companion polkadots or stripes September challenge .  Thanks for visiting. Hope your creative juices are flowing!

Sweet Bracelets

Hello, is anyone still there?!  I need to dust off the cobwebs on my blog! I've been neglecting it lately.  I've been busy making projects for DCWV. It's pretty awesome, so no complaints here!  They have some amazing new stacks coming out soon and through next year. They're also going to have this cool new show on My Craft Channel  in October.  I worked on one of the projects and I'm excited to see what it will look like in the episode :)   In other news... Here are some bracelets I made with the sweet bloom stack These are made of recycled tape rolls. After I finished the tape...I think it was masking tape, I just kept the rolls. I used to use them to trace circles, but I got to thinking they would make great bracelets!  I wrapped strips of paper around the tape roll until it went all around. Thinner strips like 1/4" are easier than thicker strips to wrap around. However if you wrap it around with paper twice, the second time you c

I made this super easy cute accent for my mirror with glitter tape from DCWV home and the Fiskars double scallop punch. To make sure the design goes around the edges, I cut a single scallop, cut the straight edge off into a point and stuck it right in the corner. The design matches up perfectly :) I love to see this in my little corner of the office. Just brightens up the place! The mirror is a black magnetic mirror from the office section at Target.    I have this adorable little bowl of goodies on my counter right now...I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use them, they are too cute!  I got them from Tessa at Precocious Paper . Her stuff is BEAUTIFUL! Comes packaged super pretty :)   Look at all the goodies :)  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!  Visit her Etsy shop and check her out :)

I'm a stack-a-holic!!!

I'm so addicted to the monthly challenges at the DCWV blog . I love the sketches Erin chooses. This is my take on the sketch this month:  Yes, I just had to touch the water! I've been known to be clumsy, so the hubby was worried! lol Papers: DCWV Sweet Bloom, Ribbon: making memories Flair: American Crafts, Date stamp: AC Dear Lizzy, gray alphas OA Mini Market, black thickers: Bliss Mine doesn't look too much like the sketch but here's what I took from it:  Flags on 2 rectangles: I loved the flags sticking out the 2 smaller pictures, but I didn't have small pictures that would work for this, so I thought I could use them as journaling cards.  3 Pictures: mine were all 4x6 :)  Ribbons with V ends: Mine are horizontal Title:  The way the title curves on the sketch and the title I had in mind for these pictures is such a great match! and it was just a happy coincidence :)  RicRac: Mine is half under the photos so it looks like a scallop borde

I would be into neon colors. Everyone kept saying they were the next big thing...well, they are...and tuns out, I think they're pretty cool! I had these pictures of Freemont St. in Las Vegas. I think I finally found the perfect papers for them :)  These are from DCWV's  Neon Chic stack. The (almost) solid pink paper is from the Bouquet De Fleur stack. These stacks are both at Michael's right now.  I fell in love with the paint splatter paper right away :)  I also used some Bella blvd. tape, Studio Calico wood veneer shapes, a fiskars border punch, do it yourself thickers, and other alphaber stickers. I attached the wood veneer shapes with glue dots, in case you're wondering ;) Thanks for visiting!
