Bonjour!

Image
I have a love of all things French. The Boutique Vintage stack is just perfect :) Even if you don't love French stuff, these papers are just pretty!   I made a super quick card and then a LO using some of the left over papers:    Love how the Vintage Collector embellishments and papers work with this stack. When my friend visited me from France, She told me: 'Wow, you have so many Eiffel Towers!'  Here are just a few of the Eiffel towers around my house...    My husband took this shot :)    This is Boutique Vintage, watch the video for this new stack here:  http://dcwvinc.blogspot.com/2014/03/video-chalk-fun-boutique-vintage-stacks.html

DCWV and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft

Image
I'm so excited about this blog hop! I've loved Faber-Castel products for a long time and it was so much fun to combine them with my favorite DCWV textures. There’s some great prizes too- Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft and DCWV will be giving away $75 in product at the end of the hop.  To win, follow the list below and leave a comment .  The hop will end at 5PM EST on Friday, March 28 th .  The winner will be announced on Monday, March 31 st on each of the company’s blogs.    I really wanted a special page for these pictures. They give me a very HAPPY feeling  and I love the sun rays coming through the trees. I wanted to mimic that in the background paper. I thought the woven craft cardstock was a great background because its a little less stark than white for these pictures.   I wanted the journaling to be more private so I made it a pull tab behind this cut out tag from the Bohemian Sunrise stack.    To make the background I used a DCW

Breakfast with a view

Image
We never spend too much when we travel because we live like locals as much as possible. Here we're grabbing coffee and pastries at a little shop in Las Ramblas in Barcelona, Spain. It was a 2 story fast food place and the top story was empty. It was just us. We put the camera on the table across from us to take this picture.    I cut out this circle from the stack and added the bird brad.  Love the colors in the Coral & Navy stack!

DCWV Stackaholic Challenge

Image
New month new challenge at the DCWV Blog ! Here's the LO sketch for March :) I used 3 different stacks: Limoncello, Vintage Lane and Bohemian Sunrise. There are 3 of us in the picture above. Can you find all of us?  The rock in the photo is covered in petroglyphs. It's impressive to see something so old. These petroglyphs are in Titus Canyon in Death Valley, Ca.  I chose the gray background paper with the white stripes because I think it resembles the way the drawings look on the rock.     I hid my journaling using a tag from the Vintage Lane stack Here's the card sketch:   All these beautiful papers are Bohemian Sunrise:    We can all use a little encouragement now and then!  Here's a tip: Once you get your strips the way you like them, use some washi to hold them  (or scor-tape). Then you can turn them over and place the adhesive on the back.     These sketches were fun to work with. Hope you can join us

Working with Initials

Image
I've been wanting to make a page with initials for each of my dogs. They have very different personalities.  I took these pictures of their Christmas presents and looking at them, I realized how they represent their personalities and preferences.     Although they're Christmas pictures, I wanted to scrap the story about why they each got that particular gift.     I used the new DCWV Alpha Zoo stack. Isn't it so cute?!
